Senior Data Analyst
Location: San Francisco (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: $130K – $185K + bonus + equity
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to become the first analytics hire at a fast-growing, data-driven technology company operating in the AI infrastructure space.
In this role, you will own the data foundation end-to-end, working closely with leadership to define key metrics, build dashboards, and generate insights that directly influence business decisions.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility position with a clear path to growth into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities

Define, build, and maintain core business metrics and KPIs

Develop dashboards and reporting using BI tools (Hex, Metabase, PostHog)

Analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights

Partner with technical teams to ensure data accuracy and reliability

Identify and resolve data quality and debugging issues

Support decision-making across product, operations, and leadership

Help establish and scale the company's data analytics function from scratch
Requirements

4–8 years of experience in data analytics (startup experience preferred)

Strong SQL and Python skills for data analysis

Experience with data quality, debugging, and validation processes

Hands-on experience with BI and dashboarding tools

Ability to work with technical teams and understand complex systems

Strong communication skills — able to explain data insights clearly
