PRIMARY PURPOSE / FUNCTION:
Support and provide leadership and direction for campus efforts to improve student academic performance.

Teaching Certification
Master's degree, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage budget and resources
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Calm and patient demeanor with students, staff, and others
Skill in the delivery of quality focused customer service
Experience:
Three years experience as a classroom teacher
Two years of experience in some type of leadership role
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Coordinates and supervises instructional and curricular services to meet the needs of the students and teachers.
- Facilitate the alignment and development of PK-5 curriculum based upon continuing systematic review and analysis.
- Collaborate with instructional staff in evaluating and selecting instructional materials, including textbook adoption, to meet student learning needs.
- Provide instructional coaching as needed to assist teachers in developing effective classroom instructional processes, procedures and strategies.
- Manage the campus testing program and requirements for grades PK-5 , including state and campus assessments.
- Plan, implement and evaluate instructional programs with campus teams including learning objectives, instrucitonal strategies and assessment techniques.
- Ensure that campus goals and objectives are developed using a collaborative process and problem-solving technique when appropriate.
- Demonstrate skill in conflict resolution.
- Apply research based strategies to improve the content, sequence, and outcome of the teaching-learning process.
- Develop and refine a communication system which provides for a two-way flow of information between campuses and the district level curriculum and instruction department.
