Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst (BA) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Instructor to support the design and delivery of a hands-on training program for the City of Charlotte.
This role is ideal for a senior-level BA who can bridge real-world enterprise experience with instructional delivery, helping learners build practical, job-ready skills.
The engagement includes two phases:
Curriculum Development & Refinement
Course Instruction & Delivery
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development (May 4 – June 22 | 10–15 hrs/week)
Collaborate with internal teams to refine course syllabus and lesson plans
Provide subject matter expertise across core BA competencies
Review and QA curriculum content for accuracy and real-world applicability
Translate practical BA experience into engaging learning materials and exercises
Participate in weekly stakeholder meetings (approx. 1 hour/week)
Instruction & Delivery (Starting June 22 | ~20 hrs/week)
Deliver a 5-week course (1 in-person session per week)
Facilitate engaging lectures and hands-on lab sessions
Guide learners through real-world BA scenarios and exercises
Provide feedback, coaching, and support outside of class hours as needed

Required Experience & Qualifications
Technical Business Analysis Expertise
Tools & Practices
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and wireframing tools
Experience working across cross-functional technical teams
