Mission of the Role

The Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision making across the organization. The scope of work includes transforming raw data into structured, reliable datasets, developing KPI dashboards, and supporting business stakeholders with actionable insights.

As a member of the Data and Analytics team, this role will work closely with the Director of Data and Analytics and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality data products. This role requires strong problem-solving ability, curiosity, and a willingness to adopt modern data and AI-driven approaches to improve productivity and outcomes.

Essential Functions

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions

Design and implement scalable data models in a warehouse environment

Build and maintain data transformations using SQL and tools such as dbt

Develop and support dashboards and reporting solutions (Power BI)

Debug and resolve data issues across pipelines, models, and reporting layers

Contribute to data pipeline development and data quality improvements

Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering standards

Continuously improving existing data models and reporting logic for performance and usability

Explore and apply AI tools (e.g., Abacus AI) to enhance productivity and data products

Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the company’s data platform
