Financial Reporting Analyst
Minimum 2+ Years’ experience in Public Accounting / Corporate Accounting
Venteon is currently seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to fill an opening with an Industry Leader and Employer of Choice with headquarters in the Metro Detroit area. The ideal candidate will be a critical contributor to the company’s overall financial success.
Requirements of the Financial Reporting Analyst
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with emphasis in finance or accounting.
- 2+ years of Public Accounting / Corporate Accounting experience.
- Experience with financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, XBRL tagging review, and other disclosures is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Analyst
The Analyst, Financial Reporting will assist with the planning, organization and preparation of the Company’s external financial statements and SEC filings (including Forms 10-Q and 10-K), as well as other filings in conjunction with various corporate transactions. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Consolidations and Reporting.
- Assist with the development of the calendar associated with all filings, including reviews by internal personnel, disclosure committee, audit committee, and external auditors
- Detailed preparation of the Company’s external financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, XBRL tagging review, and other disclosures
- Coordinate the collection of supporting documentation from various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Work with external and internal auditors to provide information required to complete quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Assist and coordinate the validation, corroboration and tie-out of data to relevant supporting documentation for all external reporting activities.
- Organize and maintain supporting work papers related to internal controls compliance for the Financial Reporting and Accounting group.
- Assist with any and all ad hoc reporting, research or document preparation as assigned
