Role Description
The Business Analyst supports organizational effectiveness by improving operational systems, designing practical analytical tools, and developing business intelligence dashboards that provide leadership with clear visibility into performance and operational trends. The role works closely with the Sr. Director of Services, the Chief Financial Officer and service leadership to evaluate systems, streamline workflows, and build tools that help managers operate more efficiently. This is a hands‑on role focused on systems improvement, tool development, and data visibility and does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties:
- Explore system features and functionality to identify ways to streamline processes such as workflows, reporting, or operational coordination.
- Evaluate organizational systems such as operational software and platforms, and internal tracking tools, to identify opportunities for automation, improved workflows, and better utilization of system capabilities.
- Design, build, and maintain Excel‑based tools that support operational planning, staffing coordination, program coordination, and system workflows.
- Improve existing spreadsheets and tools to simplify use, reduce manual effort, and prevent user errors, implementing safeguards such as protected formulas, validation rules, and standardized templates to maintain data accuracy.
- Ensure tools are intuitive and usable for front line staff and managers across service lines.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools using business intelligence platforms such as Power BI.
- Integrate data from operational tools and organizational systems to create meaningful performance dashboards.
- Translate operational data into clear visual insights that support leadership decision‑making.
- Develop workflows, SOP’s, manuals for training and implementation of new tools and systems.
- Create quick reference guides and job aids that help staff use systems and tools correctly.
- Simplify complex processes by translating policies, coding structures, or procedures into practical reference materials.
