Avnet is seeking a Business Analyst II with strong analytical, financial, and problem‑solving capabilities to support key initiatives related to tariff mitigation and recovery, and freight and transportation analytics.
This role will work cross‑functionally with Global Trade Compliance, Transportation, Logistics, Finance, and Operations teams to identify cost‑reduction opportunities, improve data accuracy, and support decision‑making through actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a strong analytics skillset, exceptional attention to detail, and experience working with large datasets in a global supply chain environment.
Job Summary:
Tariff Mitigation & Recovery
- Analyze global import and export data to identify tariff‑mitigation opportunities (e.g., HTS reclassification, duty drawback, country-of-origin optimization).
- Support the development, tracking, and automation of recovery programs to ensure accurate and timely tariff refunds.
- Partner with Trade Compliance and regional logistics teams to validate tariff assessments, dispute discrepancies, and monitor regulatory impacts.
- Build forecasting models to estimate financial impact of tariff changes or mitigation strategies.
Freight & Transportation Analytics
- Analyze freight spend, transportation performance, and network flows to identify savings opportunities and operational improvements.
- Develop automated dashboards and KPIs to track transportation cost, carrier performance, and shipment trends.
