Financial Analyst Lead

Position Purpose:

The Financial Analyst Lead position is an employee with a 8-10+ years of base accounting knowledge, financial planning, budgeting, and financial systems. The Financial Analyst Lead will have a desire to gain a solid understanding of the overall company operations along with a desire to learn systems and processes in order to analyze the financial results of the company. Primary responsibilities include month end close, month end reporting, costing and inventory analysis. In addition there will be many opportunities for ad hoc analysis and forecasting.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Actively participate with finance team in month-end close to include system close transactions along with cost center reviews.
2. Review accounting transactions for accuracy within plant cost centers, variances, and SG&A cost centers.
3. Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual reports for senior management and corporate reporting.
4. Create adhoc costing/material analysis when needed
5. Assist with the Annual Cost update
6. Create monthly working capital and inventory reports including aging and turns
7. Supply information requested for inventory audit requests
8. Provide support to Manager of Planning and Reporting during Annual Planning process
9. Get involved in opportunities to develop financial and operational modeling and forecasting for senior leadership.
10. Ability to lead other Financial Analysts on the team.
11. All other duties as assigned.

• Four Year Accounting degree
• Accounting background preferred with month end FP&P
• Inventory & Costing experience
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• SAP and financial system skills
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work on a schedule, meet deadlines and maintain attention to details
