Summary:
National Accounts is part of the Commercial Organization, a cross-functional team integral to maximizing refining output value for MPC while meeting marketing demands. National Accounts is a light product sales organization which establishes commercial relationships with large, nationwide fuel consumers. This role provides an opportunity to gain exposure to supply operations, commercial negotiations, and engagement in a customer-facing role.
The position should be viewed as a growth opportunity for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, the ability to think critically and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interact daily with internal and external business partners including MPC Logistics Coordinators, Accounting, Authorization Analysts, Pricing, and Commercial Development.
- Coordinates operations nationwide which includes resolving loading issues, implementing supply shifts, and analyzing purchase requirements.
- Manage extensive supply agreements which require negotiation, completing analytical and contractual tasks.
- Supports strategies to enhance commercial value. Maintains positive customer relationships and promptly addresses customer concerns.
- Understands industry trends, regulations, economic conditions, commercial and consumer needs, as well as current MPC marketing strategies and business opportunities.
- Develops and implements reporting for the assigned business unit, consisting of various reporting responsibilities ranging from short-term (daily) to monthly and annual comparisons.
- Supports business process improvement ideas that create internal process efficiencies and/or reduce transactional or administrative costs for customers.
- Maintains a general understanding of the Commodity Trading Risk Management (CTRM) tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or other related discipline required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in Analytics, Pricing, Fuel Marketing Sales, Revenue and Profitability Management, or other related experience required.
