Job Description
As Symmetry’s Risk Analyst II, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s enterprise risk management (ERM) and compliance programs for both mortgage and indirect auto finance divisions. This role is highly analytical and cross-functional, with a strong emphasis on building risk dashboards, managing risk assessments, and supporting audits and strategic risk initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a risk management role, enjoys data-driven environment, is independent and oriented towards solving problems, and can communicate risk effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the risk representative on cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc projects.
- Translate and interpret complex datasets into clear, executive-level visuals, highlighting key risk indicators (KRIs), and trends.
- Develop and maintain executive risk dashboards and board-level reporting, consolidating data across multiple sources and business units.
- Oversee the Company’s risk assessments across multiple risk & compliance categories and topics. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure controls are effectively measured and operating effectively.
- Own coordination of audit and diligence deliverables, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a strong external-facing risk narrative.
- Produce concise, decision-oriented analytical summaries and memos for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- Perform ongoing due diligence and monitoring of subservicers, brokers, and dealer relationships.
- Support annual insurance renewals by gathering and organizing required risk and operational information.
- Drive new initiatives and expand risk frameworks and controls within the Company’s HELOC and indirect auto lending units.
- Ensure policies and procedures remain current, effective, and aligned with regulatory expectations through ongoing review and testing.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis on credit risk performance and market trends, using peer comparisons to inform risk insights and business decisions.
- Partner with Compliance, Quality Control, and business teams to implement and enhance risk reviews, driving timely resolution of identified issues.
- Strengthen vendor agreements by identifying risk gaps, recommending enhancements, and supporting contract negotiations.
- Maintain working knowledge of lending products, operations, systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience.
- 5+ years of experience in risk analysis
