The Role:
The Senior Client Financial Analyst is a key finance partner to client and account leadership. This role sits close to the business, supporting senior stakeholders with clear financial insight, disciplined forecasting, and practical guidance that drives profitable growth. You will own the financial health of a portfolio of clients, translating complex data into straightforward recommendations.
This is not a back-office role. You will be embedded with the business, expected to speak up, challenge assumptions, and help leaders make better decisions.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary finance partner for a portfolio of client accounts, supporting account leads and senior management
Own monthly and quarterly forecasting, including revenue, margin, staffing, and variance analysis
Monitor client profitability and working capital, flagging risks and opportunities early
Partner with account teams on pricing, staffing models, scope changes, and contract reviews
Support new business efforts with pricing models, financial scenarios, and deal reviews
Prepare and present clear financial summaries for senior leadership, focusing on what matters and why
Ensure compliance with Edelman financial policies, client terms, and audit requirements
Continuously improve financial processes, tools, and ways of working with the business
Basic Qualifications:
At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance, ideally in a professional services, agency, or consulting environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of project-based revenue models, utilization, and margin management
Proven ability to partner with senior, non-finance stakeholders and influence decisions
Excellent financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems and reporting tools
Clear communicator who can simplify complex financial topics without dumbing them down
Experience with Workday is a plus
