Hourly Wage: Starting at $14.00/hour. You may receive a $.25 increase each semester based on performance. If you already work at Ensign College, your wage will start at your current hourly rate.
Reports To: Manager, Career & Internship Services
The Data Analyst Student Employee will help manage and analyze data for the department. You will create dashboards using tools like PowerBI, Excel, and Smartsheets. Your role includes clearly sharing data findings with department leaders, documenting processes, and supporting team projects.
Specific Responsibilities
- Create dashboards using PowerBI, Excel, Smartsheets, PowerAutomate, CoPilot Studio, and API Connectors
- Find new ways to show real-time data from tools like Dynamics 365 CRM, ZohoCRM, and Ensign Connect (PeopleGrove)
- Learn about department tasks to clearly show data
- Share your data findings with department leaders
- Manage emails, appointments, and meetings professionally using Microsoft Outlook
- Regularly use MS Teams for teamwork and communication
- Track tasks and updates using MS Planner
- Write clear instructions about your work for future use
- Ask for feedback and use it to improve your work
- Enrolled at Ensign College (at least six credits per semester) and in good academic standing
- Know how to use data visualization tools like PowerBI, Excel, and Smartsheets
- Good analytical skills and careful attention to detail
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Able to clearly explain data findings
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks
- Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 and Canvas
- You enjoy working with data, finding interesting patterns, and telling stories with data. You like learning about new data tools and working both independently and with a team.
