Job Goal:

To provide technical assistance and professional development to Region 6 districts and campuses in the areas of student assessment, accountability systems, and instructional data analysis. Support districts in meeting state and federal requirements while promoting data-driven decision-making to improve student outcomes.

Β 

Education/Certification

  • Master’s degree in education, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred
  • Valid Texas educator certification required

Experience:

  • Experience in district-level assessment, accountability, or instructional data role preferred

Special Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Texas assessment and accountability systems
  • Knowledge of PEIMS, CCMR, HB 8, Federal Report Card, and related reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of state testing platforms including TIDE and online assessment systems
  • Understanding of instructional data platforms (e.g., Eduphoria, DMAC, TEKSBank, LMS systems)
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex data sets
  • Ability to develop and deliver professional development to adult learners
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Has the ability to provide positive and critical feedback to all involved.
  • Is willing to attend many meetings related to school improvement across the region.
  • Has the flexibility to make changes to plans identified as being less efficient.
  • Knows how to recognize and celebrate success.
  • Has knowledge of school improvement requirements set forth in statute

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Assessment Support

  • Provide technical assistance and training to districts regarding state and local assessment programs, including SB 2124 – Advanced Math.
  • Support administration processes for ACT, SAT, TSI, AP, and other online assessments.
  • Deliver District Testing Coordinator (DTC) trainings.
  • Provide guidance regarding accommodations, IGCs, CRS, TFAR, and compliance requirements.
  • Support districts in use of TIDE and other state testing platforms.

Instructional Data & Systems Support

  • Provide training and support for instructional data platforms including Eduphoria (Aware, Strive, Appraisals, Formworks), DMAC, TEKSBank, and LMS systems.
  • Develop and maintain data tracking systems and domain calculator tools.
  • Facilitate 101/Framework sessions and domain-by-domain accountability sessions for teachers and administrators.
  • Provide year-long data support aligned to accountability domains.
  • Support development of learning plans based on assessment data.

Accountability Support

  • Provide consultative support regarding the Texas Accountability Framework and Accountability Manual.
  • Assist districts with accountability projections, β€œwhat-if” analyses, and use of Accountability Connect tools.
  • Support CCMR tracking, graduation rate tracking, and performance reporting systems.
  • Provide guidance regarding PEIMS alignment with accountability.
  • Assist with Federal Report Card requirements and HB 8 indicators.
  • Support preparation of TAPR board presentations.
  • Participate in the Education Service Center Accountability Group (EAG).

Regional & Collaborative Responsibilities

  • Participate in Data Working Groups and cross-department initiatives.
  • Coordinate contracts related to assessment and instructional data services.
  • Maintain professional growth and participate in required ESC trainings and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
