SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team supporting the DoD Office of Strategic Capital (OSC). The successful candidate will support OSCโ€™s work toward informing investments in critical technology areas for national security, including OSCโ€™s Loan Program. The Business Analyst will have responsibility for conducting analysis of business cases for current and future OSC investments.

This position is hybrid located in Arlington, VA and will require up to 15% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cases analysis related to critical technologies, regional ecosystem attributes, and government policy. Assess benefits, concerns, and tradeoffs of OSC investment opportunities through integrated synthesis of technological, business, and regional factors.
  • Support technical working groups, plan and organize site visits, and facilitate meetings.
  • Provide technology mapping and analysis.
  • Assist in drafting high-quality reports, white papers, and presentations. Integrate and present findings, risks, issues, and recommendations with technical and business subject matter experts both verbally and in writing.
  • Work within various OSC teams to map and analyze emerging and established technologies through primary market research of companies, SBIR/STTR participants, Manufacturing Innovation Institutes, TechHubs, and other regional technology ecosystems.

Required Education and Experience\: ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited institution in Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field with at least ten (10) years of experience or Master's degree and at least eight (8) years of experience.ย 

Required Clearance:

  • Active SECRET with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
  • US citizenship

Required Skills:

  • Strong statistical skills and experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as R, Stata, Matlab, etc.ย 
  • Proficient in standard Office tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to quickly learn unfamiliar areas, and maintain focus in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally with partners from diverse expert backgrounds.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
