The primary objective of this position is to maintain and validate the official records of airline utilization across all Common-Use terminal infrastructure and equipment. The role involves performing detailed audits of flight activity to ensure full compliance with the Airline Use and Lease Agreement (AULA) and Terminal Space Use Protocols (TSUPs). By verifying daily flight and facility data, this role maintains the reliable records needed to plan terminal space, meet city reporting requirements, and ensure accurate billing and CDA Common-Use space and equipment.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesΒ
Conduct daily audits comparing planned airline schedules against actual aircraft arrival and departure times.
Monitor utilization of Common Use assets, including gates/stands, ticket counters, baggage belts, and other Common Use equipment.
Audit airline and ground handler activity against actual gate and ancillary space activity to identify early arrivals, unauthorized openings, or overstays beyond allotted time blocks.
Identify unauthorized facility use, such as an airline operating at an unassigned gate, ticket counters, or baggage devices.
Generate official records required for billing airlines for overstays, unauthorized use, or other non-compliant activity
Maintain a historical archive of flight data to help management identify operational patterns and peak time congestion.
Document facility and equipment usage during weather events or emergencies (IROPS) to ensure an accurate record of operational recovery.
Manage mandated weekly and monthly reports to ensure passenger volumes and operational timestamps are accurately documented.
Develop streamlined Excel dashboards integrating planned schedules and actual operational logs to visualize utilization and compliance trends.
Prepare data summaries for meetings with stakeholders regarding Common Use space utilization and equipment usage.
Verify the accuracy of automated data feeds to protect the integrity of information used for official city reporting and airline billing.
Β Qualifications:Β
3-5 years of operational experience in an airport terminal, operations control center, or a similar environment focused on high-volume operational auditing.
Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, specifically the ability to organize large datasets, use formulas for reconciliation, and building automated templates for recurring reports. Individual must also be skilled with pivot tables, lookups, and data validation tools. Proficiency in data analysis tools/software a plus.
A practical understanding of terminal logistics and the financial implications of off-schedule flight operations.
High attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving abilities and a commitment to data integrity, as these records serve as the basis for official airline billing and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills.Β Professional communication to clarify data issues or explain compliance requirements.
Must be highly organized and possess impeccable time-management skills, with the ability to manage daily audits, prioritize tasks, and meet strict reporting deadlines.
Familiarity with CUPPS, CUSS, gate management systems, and terminal operations databases.
Comfort working with scheduling tools (e.g., flight schedules, resource allocation systems).
Understanding of Airline Use and Lease Agreements (AULA) and knowledge of Terminal Space Use Protocols (TSUPs).
Ability to interpret policies and apply them when auditing airline activity.
Skill in recommending corrective actions to ensure compliance and accurate billing.
