About the Role
We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our Customer Success team and lead the delivery of data-driven solutions for game studios. In this role, you will own the onboarding journey, serve as a trusted analytics advisor, and help build a data-first culture within our customers' organizations.

Key Responsibilities
β€’ Drive Customer Onboarding: Guide customers through the onboarding process for ThinkingData's behavior analytics platform β€” including data collection design, SDK and event validation, and dashboard setup.
β€’ Be the Analytics Expert: Act as a strategic partner to customers, helping translate business goals into measurable data strategies across collection, analysis, and reporting.
β€’ Enable Data-Driven Culture: Provide ongoing consultation to support customers' digital transformation and promote best practices for data-informed decision-making.
β€’ Industry-Focused Guidance: Research and curate analytics best practices tailored to game genres, lifecycle stages (soft launch, LiveOps), and business models (IAP, IAA, hybrid).
β€’ Deep-Dive Analytics: Apply descriptive and diagnostic analysis to uncover gameplay trends, monetization bottlenecks, and user segmentation opportunities.
β€’ Customer Support & Training: Be responsive to product questions, troubleshooting requests, and on-site or remote training needs.
β€’ Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to internal knowledge bases covering analytical techniques, success stories, and game-specific metric frameworks.

Qualifications Required:
β€’ Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
β€’ 5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in gaming or digital product environments
β€’ Strong SQL skills and experience building reports and dashboards
β€’ Experience defining and analyzing key business metrics (e.g., retention, LTV, conversion funnels)
β€’ Solid understanding of how analytics ties into product development, marketing, and operations
β€’ Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
β€’ Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working across customers and internal teams

Preferred:
β€’ Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., data lakes, ETL pipelines)
β€’ Experience with product analytics platforms (ThinkingData, Amplitude, GameAnalytics, Mixpanel)
β€’ Understanding of LiveOps, AB testing, and in-game economy metrics
β€’ Ability to balance hands-on analytics with customer-facing responsibilities
