DescriptionThe Data Specialist supports operations and conducts data analytics projects to provide information and insights to stakeholders for decision-making or solution development. This role implements data standards and deploys automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform data into usable metrics.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities
- Support operations and conduct data analytics projects.
- Implement data standards and deploy automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data.
- Construct data sets, monitor data quality, troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
- Utilize scripting and querying tools like Python, R or SQL, data visualization/BI tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files, and dashboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and requirements.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications-Education and ExperienceΒ
- Bachelorβs degree in business, a quantitative field or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of related experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
Minimum Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of data analytics and processes.
- Ability to work on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
- Ability to make day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department.
- Some authority for personnel actions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment weighing less than 15 pounds. This position involves viewing a computer monitor for more than 30% of the time.
