COMPENSATION: $30.00-$35.00/hr depending on experience and interview outcomeย 

LOCATION:ย  Remote, travel requiredย

Job Summary:ย 

The Data Specialist will directly support Tidal Clearโ€™s Waste Water Application Specialists at customer sites. The Data Specialist will be responsible for running a variety of analytical tests on location in direct support of the customer, the Tidal Vision Business Unit and the Tidal Clear team. The ability to operate in challenging environments is required. This role will travel heavily throughout the work week as assigned by the Waste Water Applications Specialist, and/or the Director of Tidal Clear. This role will play a critical role in acquiring data for research, supporting and solving customer problems, and supporting the Tidal Clear Water Science team with advancing technologies.ย 


Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze water samples using standard water treatment procedures as directed by the Waste Water Application Specialist or Director of Tidal Clear.ย 
  • Conduct routine analysis of water samples: including measuring pH, viscosity, and electrical conductivity, and jar testing.ย 
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of experiments and results and report those findings through the proper company tools..
  • Support customer requests in conjunction with Waste Water Applications Specialists.ย 
  • Travel required: 50%-65%.ย 


Basic Qualifications:

  • Operate and work within our Mission Driven Culture Core Values and Principles.ย 
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Proven track record of collecting, storing, organizing, and analyzing data.ย ย 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Must be self motivated, and able to conduct business in a professional manner.ย 
  • Read, understand, and follow safety rules and regulations, and wear proper PPE on site at all times.
  • Travel required: 50%-65%.ย 


Preferred Qualifications:ย 

  • Education: Bachelors of Science in chemistry, biology, environmental or earth sciences, or related fields.
  • Experience with jar testing, dewatering, use of lab equipment including: scales, pH and conductivity meters, volumetric measurement equipment, and spectrophotometric analysis of wastewater.ย

  • The incumbent is subject to a background check.ย 


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Most of the work is performed at customer sites. This may include but is not limited to; wastewater treatment plants, processing areas, manufacturing sites, production sites, and more. Incumbents must be able to follow all safety standards at all sites and be able to stand, bend, sit, walk, for long periods of time. When not at customer sites, work can be completed remotely, in an office setting.ย ย
