E-Commerce Data Specialist

Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for anΒ E-Commerce Data Specialist to join our team at our Corporate head office in Winnipeg.Β 

What you will do:


  • Acquire and format product data from vendors and industry sources
  • Maintain data integrity within our Product Information Management (PIM) system and ERP system
  • Collaborate with other departments to align products within internal systems
  • Identify and resolve data quality gaps
  • Create new digital product assets
  • Enhance PIM system updates regularly and address program bugs
  • Provide system support to managers, developers, and users
  • Other duties as neededΒ 

What We Require:

  • A degree in business, marketing, business information technology, or a relevant technology program
  • 2-4 years of experience in a digital merchandising or data management role is preferred
  • Previous experience in acquiring, organizing, and manipulating large amounts of data is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Akeno, Pricedex, or other PIM systems is preferred
  • Previous experience with Epicor or other ERP systems is preferred (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) is preferred
  • Experience working with e-commerce catalogues with moderate SKU counts (100k +) is an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of full-cycle data governance is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers
  • Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, Word, Excel) and ability to learn in-house systems
  • Heavy-duty parts knowledge or background is an asset
