Your Impact
Job Duties:
- Work under the direction of the Project Manager to conduct financial reviews of firms applying for prequalification on client projects, assessing financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and working capital.
- Assist in evaluating liquidity, solvency, and debt ratios to determine financial viability for contract eligibility.
- Assist with risk assessments to identify potential financial weaknesses, fraud risks, or inconsistencies in applicants’ financial records.
- Assist in collaborating with internal teams to ensure businesses meet client financial and regulatory standards before approving prequalification.
- Ensure businesses comply with client, state, and federal financial requirements for contract participation.
- Conduct background checks and due diligence on applicants, including review of outstanding liens, debts, and prior financial performance.
- Assist firms in correcting financial deficiencies, guiding them through compliance measures to improve financial transparency.
- Maintain a prequalified firms database, tracking financial trends and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in developing financial dashboards and reports to monitor the fiscal health of program participants.
- Provide detailed bidder justification reports, integrating financial analysis to support client’s evaluation process.
- Assist with providing one-on-one financial coaching to small businesses, helping them strengthen financial planning and forecasting.
- Assist businesses in budgeting, cash flow management, and capital access strategies to improve project performance.
- Participate in workshops and training sessions on financial best practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance for program participants.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must have the ability to work onsite 5 days per week.
- 1-3 years of Finance/Project Controls related experience
- Experience in financial analysis, risk assessment, or business advisory roles, preferably in government contracting, infrastructure, or MWBE/DBE programs.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance auditing.
- Experience conducting financial analysis as part of business prequalification or contractor vetting processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for small businesses

Compensation:
Expected Salary: $90,180-110,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
