Financial Analyst

As the Financial Analyst at Dupaco, you are the β€œeyes and ears” of financial matters for our Data and Finance teams. You are responsible for assisting with the financial oversight of the credit union including: profitability analysis, financial, organizational, and regulatory reporting, and strategic and organizational KPI development. You are a self-motivated, resourceful, organized, problem solver, who knows exactly what the responsibilities listed below truly mean.Β 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely organizational reporting
  • Assist in ensuring the credit union suffers minimal losses due to failure to comply with operational procedures, regulations, and applicable laws
  • Collaborate cross functionally to prepare financial and profitability analysis of Dupaco’s new and existing products, services, and locations
  • Prepare reports for outside agencies to include NCUA Call Reports, etc. as well as coordination of all filing deadlines
  • Assist with creation, development, and tracking of strategic and organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Support the data and finance teams with financial data validation, analysis, and accurate reporting
  • Assist in development of budgets and financial forecasts and monitoring performance
  • Utilize financial modeling for analysis and projections while providing data-driven recommendations to support decision-making
  • Gather and assist with data analysis utilized for asset liability management, including cash flow and liquidity reporting
  • Assist with financial analysis, including trend analysis, variance analysis, and performance metrics, to support key business decisions
  • Understanding of enterprise data, financial acumen, financial planning and analysis, accounting, credit risk, and regulatory reporting
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An Accounting or Finance Degree from an accredited four-year school
  • 2+ years of accounting/financial experience, preferably within Financial Services
  • Demonstrates knowledge of finance, accounting, regulatory reporting, asset liability management, financial analysis, profitability, strategic analysis, credit risk, and business intelligence
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, to represent the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner for both internal and external relations, including ability to partner with cross-functional teams as a key contributor
  • Ability to analyze, conclude, and create recommendations based on various data and reporting
  • Proficiency in computers; ability to learn in-house application software knowledge and the ability to manage various accounting programs and systems
  • Self-motived, resourceful and well organized with the ability to prioritize work assignments efficiently. Ability to accurately handle large volumes of details and multi-task effectively
  • Ability, availability and willingness to work flexible/additional hours as demanded by the work load
