Responsibilities

This position represents the interests of the institution by serving as the point of contact for financial administration issues that related to research studies. Β This position will provide consultation and support in the development, analysis, interpretation, and management of study budgets (as they impact Stamford Hospital) and provide essential information that supports effective Medicare Coverage Analysis and negotiations with PIs to assure research costs are covered. Β Importantly, this position will manage key technology systems and work with PIs and their study teams as it relates to financial status updates on study accounts, invoicing support and follow up, and collaborative input with the Accounting Office on both ongoing and the end of study close out and financial reconciliation efforts.



Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in life sciences or an applicable related field
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience or five (5) years of relevant work experience, in an applicable field may be business administration, accounting or research experience
  • Human Research Subject Protection certification
  • Knowledge of key financial regulations regarding research: FDA / OHRP / ORI / DHHS Β 
  • Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting strongly preferred
  • Experience in preparing break even analyses, research budgets, and other financial analyses associated with research studies
