Financial Analyst โ Construction Industry Location:

We are seeking aย Financial Analystย withย construction industry experienceย to join a strategic finance team supporting executive decision-making. This hybrid role is based inย Phoenix, AZ, and is ideal for professionals with strongย financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting skills, along with a deep understanding of construction project cost dynamics. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Support:
Perform complex financial modeling and scenario analysis for construction projects and corporate strategy
Forecast and analyze capital expenditures, operating costs, and ROI for project-based investments
Deliver insights on margins, project overruns, labor costs, and materials spending
Work directly with CFO to develop tools and analysis for executive leadership
Financial Reporting & Budgeting:
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports with variance analysis
Support budget development, updates, and reforecasting aligned with project pipelines
Track KPIs tied to construction operations (e.g., backlog, utilization rates, DSO)
Collaboration & Compliance:
Partner with project managers and operations teams to align budgets and actuals
Maintain understanding of GAAP and construction accounting standards (percentage of completion, WIP, etc.)
Work within ERP or job-costing systems to extract and manipulate data for insights
Requirements:
Bachelorโs degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required); CPA or MBA a plus
Minimumย 3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably within construction, engineering, or real estate development
Strong Excel modeling and financial reporting skills; ERP system knowledge (e.g., Viewpoint, Sage 300, Procore, or similar) preferred
Excellent communication skills, with ability to present findings to C-suite and project teams
