Job Summary 

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accounting and financial analysis to support daily operations and overall business decisions that assist in short and long-term financial planning for the institution.  This role is responsible for developing and maintaining spreadsheets and statistical models, along with preparing financial reports. The Financial Analyst acts as a consultant and business partner for internal teams, equipping them with analysis that allows teams to make better decisions faster, mitigate risk, and optimize performance by evaluating progress toward achieving goals and mapping out future goals and plans.  


Responsibilities  


Financial Analysis & Reporting 

  • Analyze financial reports and translate them into concise summaries for management. 
  • Monitor risk which may have an impact on the company’s financial results. 
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to advance the company’s reporting capabilities and improve accuracy of the data. 
  • Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review. 
  • Research and resolve problems and errors in data from financial reporting systems. 

Strategic Planning & Forecasting  

  • Research, identify and implement new approaches and methods to facilitate cost management. 
  • Ensure consistency of approach related to analysis techniques, key findings, and system utilization. 
  • Develop and prepare departmental scorecards and dashboards showing high-level results and trends. 
  • Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis of the results of the company’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan. 

Consultation & Business Partnership  

  • Maintain relationships with and provide reporting and analytical support to business units. 
  • Provide analytical support for forward-looking financial and business-related projects.  
  • Optimize use of financial systems and tools.  
Requirements

Qualifications  

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies. 
  • Four-year undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study.

The base salary for this role is listed below. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. The base salary may vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, experience and geographic location. Full time employees are also eligible for a competitive bonus and benefits package.
