Financial Analyst
- Deeply understand Apple's relevant business activities, commercial interests and related processes - Partner with and train analysts to best use our data and technology infrastructure for building dashboards/reports and conducting analyses - Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, or analysis, demonstrating intellectual curiosity beyond the immediate scope of work - Translate opportunities/business requirements into technical requirements and work with technical partners to assess feasibility and form project plans - Communicate the business value of proposed projects to senior leadership by framing opportunities in terms of impact, feasibility, and alignment with strategic goals, enabling effective prioritization and resourcing decisions - Drive prioritized projects and communicate progress on planned milestones to senior leadership - Collaborate with engineering and data partners to influence tool and pipeline design decisions that improve usability and long-term maintainability - Document and share reusable frameworks, templates, and tools to improve onboarding and speed up solution delivery


  • 2+ years consulting or financial/business/data analyst experience
  • BS/MBA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics or BS/MS in STEM or quantitative field (CS, Applied Statistics, Operations Research)


  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial modeling
  • A basic understanding of data design pattern differences between transactional ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and analytical data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Excellent problem-framing, problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to change direction quickly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate results of analysis in business terms
  • Confirmed ability to conduct complex, data driven analysis
  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Knowledge of SQL and working with large datasets
  • Experience with data analytics tools and languages (e.g. R, Python)
  • Experience building interactive data visualizations, strong storytelling skills (e.g. Tableau, Streamlit, Shiny)
  • Experience building/applying statistical and/or machine learning solutions to solve business problems


At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,500 and $166,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
