The Financial Analyst Provider Compensation for St. Luke’s Physician Group (“SLPG”) is responsible for preparing the financial information for SLPG Providers and analyzing expense and revenue variances as it relates to the SLPG providers. Financial Analyst maintains various Revenue, Expense, and Pay-For-Performance schedules and coordinates the timely distribution of the financial information for the SLPG providers.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer SLPG Providers’ monthly and/or quarterly compensation incentive projections.
  • Prepare monthly communication for the dissemination of SLPG Physicians’ monthly compensation projections.
  • Review existing and incoming employment agreements and amendments to employee agreements and assist in establishing amendments.
  • Notify colleagues of pending Signing Bonuses, Tail Coverage Repayments or changes in CMEs.
  • Contact and resolve inquiries for Physicians as it relates to the Compensation Projection, Incentive Bonus Draw requests, and salary draw adjustments within 48 business hours.
  • Prepare journal entries related to Physician Incentive Bonus Projections, Incentive Bonus Draws, Retention Bonus, Honoraria and Payroll related accruals following the Network Close schedule.
  • Reconcile related accounts to General Ledger
  • Assist and compile information for internal and external audits.
  • Monitor VBI performance and payment allocation for SLPG and SCH providers.
  • Prepare and document all related procedures.
  • Prepare Financial Monthly trend analysis for all SLPG Physicians.
  • Maintain database for SLPG Employee Agreements.
  • Compile data and complete benchmark Compensation Surveys for various companies. Act as liaison between SLPG Physician and SLPG Management/ SLUHN Payroll, as it relates to salary increases, incentive bonus requests, and retention bonuses, tail expense coverage repayments.
  • Collaborate with Service Line Leaders and Payroll and perform audits to ensure proper site level allocations for all providers across SLPG, SLWPG, SCH, GSLPG, and Grandview along with any payroll timecard errors (incorrect hours applied based on FTE, incorrect pay code used, etc.)
  • Calculate settlement amounts for providers who are terming and eligible for PTO payout
  • Assist in bi-weekly retro payment process (on payroll Fridays) to ensure any providers who have had a change in status are receiving the correct amount of retro pay.  Work with Service Line Leaders on payback situations resulting from overpayment of any kind.
  • Act as liaison between SLPG Regional Managers and SLPG Managements as it relates to changes/compensation expirations/minor separation agreements in employee agreements.
  • Maintain appropriate supporting documents and working papers for all financial transactions and analyses.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials handled within SLPG, as well as the proper release of information.
  • Prepare Compensation Rate Standardization for Physicians on Comp Models Analysis, as needed.
  • Prepare adjusting entries related to Physician Salary Adjustments, as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for up to eight (8) hours per day, three hours at a time. Frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands. Uses upper extremities to lift up to thirty pounds. Frequently stoops, bends, and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony when reading reports and viewing computer screen.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required or Associates degree and minimum of three to five years related experience required.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Accounting and Financial Analysis experience preferred.  Possess advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access).  Be coherent in the interpretation of employment agreements.
