Job SummaryΒ 

Newmark is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst for the Debt Capital Markets Group - Loan Sales based in Dallas, Texas. Β The Debt Capital Markets team is responsible for sourcing and executing transactions involving commercial real estate debt and loan sales. The team focuses on all property types including multifamily, retail, office and industrial located across the country. The candidate will work directly with senior members of the firm offering substantial growth and upward mobility within a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Financial underwriting of commercial property cash flows including due diligence review and transaction execution using Microsoft Excel and ARGUS
  • Perform extensive financial modeling to determine structured debt solutions including scenario and sensitivity analysis and development of source and uses
  • Perform in-depth real estate, company, and market research / analysis
  • Prepare pitch presentations, investment memoranda and various marketing materials for distribution to potential investors and lenders

Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, personal motivation, and distinguished written and oral communication skills. It is strongly preferred that your background includes:

  • 1-3 years of Commercial Real Estate experienceΒ 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong ARGUS, financial analysis, and modeling skillsΒ 
  • Experience with financial modeling and understanding of basic financial concepts (DCF, IRR, capitalization rates, etc.)
  • Enthusiastic self-starter who is proactive, entrepreneurial, and can work both as part of a team and independently
  • Strong work ethic, incredibly interpersonal, and organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent grammar and written/verbal communications skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients at various levels
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality work under tight time frames
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with hard deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with coursework in economics, financial accounting, corporate finance, or real estate
