Financial Analyst

Summary: Β Β 

Use the company’s FP&A process to improve business intelligence as a source of competitive advantage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists FPA Manager with annual budget and monthly forecasting process, including:Β 
    • Planning meetings with operations personnel
    • Works with various members of operations teams to incorporate revenue pricing and other forecast and budgeting assumptions into the system.
    • Assists in developing key inflation assumptions before process starts
    • Preparation and management of budget and forecast templates
    • Where required, assists Operational staff with the completion of the appropriate templates.
    • Constantly monitoring and improving process
    • Preparation and support for presentations to stakeholders
  • Prepares monthly variance reports and review of financial statements comparing actual performance to budget and forecasts.
  • Manage fuel and utility margin analyses and support finance team month journal entries
  • Improves KPI reporting processes (historic and future looking)
  • Preserve integrity of Adaptive Insights through Accounts, Levels, Versions, and Exchange Rate maintenance.
  • Implement controls over metric accounts (Upland & Marina).
  • Provides support to Business Development, Asset Management, Finance Operational teams as and when required.

Education/Experience:

Bachelors Degree (B.S/B.A.) in Finance, Accounting or other related business, along with 1-3 years’ finance related experience, preferably in the real estate industry and/or relevant combination of education and experience. Β Experience with financial modelling is also preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have expertise in database systems and Microsoft Excel Modeling as well as knowledge of various accounting systems, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.Β  Experience with financial modeling system Adaptive Planning is a plus.Β
