Job Description

Mirantis is adding a Senior Financial Analyst to our team!Β  This role will be part of the Mirantis FP&A team. The individual will work closely with both the FP&A team as well as the R&D and Product Management teams by providing financial and analytical support and ensuring the achievement of financial objectives of a fast-growing business.

Hybrid work:Β  Work from the office in Campbell, CA (Monday–Thursday), remote on Fridays.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for operating expenses and headcount planning for the Product Management and R&D organizations.Β  Closely monitor ongoing performance and perform periodic variance analysis of budgeted, forecasted, and actual financial performance.Β  Clearly interpret and document variance drivers.Β  Provide subsequent monthly/quarterly OPEX forecasts.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, business leaders and senior executives.Β  Act as a trusted advisor, providing financial expertise that supports the strategic growth initiatives of the Product Management and R&D organizations while protecting the company’s financial well-being.Β 

  • Develop strategic partnerships with the senior executives in the Product Management and R&D organizations.Β  Actively collaborate and identify new opportunities for analysis and insight, which may include (but not limited to):Β  return on investment (ROI), pricing and discount rates, customer lifetime value, cohort analysis, product life cycle, 3-5 year long-term planning, net present value (NPV),Β  Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) across different dimensions [by product, by Geo, by cohort], cross-selling and bundling between products and business units.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β 

  • Actively participate in FP&A process automation, new tool implementation and optimization.Β  Drive continual process improvements to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of FP&A activities.Β  Perform ad hoc analysis to support better decision making

  • Support the preparation of monthly BVA/financial reporting and other management reports.

  • Collaborate with the Accounting team for month-end and quarter-end close activities.Β 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in finance, accounting, business, or related field.Β  MBA preferred.Β 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance with emphasis on planning, budgeting, and forecasting, financial analysis, and modeling.Β  Prior experience in corporate finance, supporting Product Management and/or R&D, preferred.
  • Experience supporting subscription/SaaS business and good understanding of SaaS business metrics and models preferred.
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, and Salesforce preferred.Β 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities, attention to details.Β 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills to effectively partner at all levels.Β 
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.Β  Proficient in financial modeling.Β 
  • High integrity and performance standards.Β  Passion for learning and continuous improvement.

    Salary range: $120000-140000 per year.
