As a Foresight Business Analyst at Kearney, you will be a key contributor to the growth and development of our Foresight Practice as we offer honest advice and practical guidance to our clients. The Foresight team is dedicated to helping C-suite leaders anticipate disruption, shape resilient strategies, and harness emerging opportunities across a rapidly changing global operating environment. We are a team of consultants who integrate deep awareness of global affairs, public policy, and strategic foresight with Kearney’s transformation and operations expertise.
Our work bridges anticipation and execution\: combining geopolitical, macroeconomic, and policy insight with practical consulting to help leaders act decisively amid uncertainty. Foresight teams work hand in hand with Kearney’s industry and functional practices to support client engagements across the Americas and globally.
Working alongside a dedicated and diverse set of people, to translate complex global, economic, and policy dynamics into clear, decision-relevant insights for senior leaders. The role requires strong analytical judgment, excellent written and visual communication skills, and comfort working across ambiguous, multi-disciplinary problem sets.

Key responsibilities:
Client Advisory & Consulting Delivery
• Support client engagements focused on policy impact analysis and planning & long-term strategic planning using the methodologies of strategic foresight, including scenario planning and trends analysis
• Conduct structured qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform client recommendations
• Develop clear, compelling client deliverables (PPT presentations, briefings, reports) that translate complex insights into actionable implications for senior decision-makers
Thought Leadership
• Conduct research on macroeconomic, geopolitical, regulatory, technological, and societal trends shaping the global and regional operating environment
• Synthesize diverse data sources into coherent narratives, insights, and analytical frameworks
• Contribute to foresight-driven perspectives that inform both client work and broader firm thinking
Knowledge, Tools, and Capability Building
• Contribute to the development of internal tools, methodologies, and knowledge assets related to foresight and long-term strategy
• Support the preparation of proposals, qualifications, and internal briefings associated with Foresight-led work

• Have a bachelor’s degree in economics, International Affairs, Political Science or other relevant fields and ideally first work experience in those fields.
• Have prior experience or internships in consulting, government, policy analysis, research, strategy, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment is preferred.
• Have strong analytical skills and the ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative inputs.
• Have excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured, and concise content for senior audiences.
• Are comfortable working with ambiguity and framing complex, open-ended problems.
• Are a strong collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work effectively in team-based settings.
• Have a high attention to detail, consistency, and quality.
• Are curious about global affairs, policy, economics, and long-term trends
• Are proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Have a forward-looking mindset and enthusiasm for foresight-driven problem solving.
• Are located near or willing to relocate to Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, New York, Washington D.C., Mexico City or Toronto.

Business Analyst base salary - $100,000 - $103,000\: However, it is important to note that at Kearney, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, office location, knowledge and skills. Kearney reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness. In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
