Job Description
The Lead Business Analyst - BISD will lead a team of experienced business analysts, ensuring consistency in requirements gathering, documentation, and business process improvement across multiple projects. This role combines mentorship with hands-on analytical work, ensuring business requirements are well-defined, documented, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Support & Leadership:
- Lead, guide, and support a team of business analysts, ensuring knowledge sharing and consistency.
- Assign, prioritize, and oversee workloads to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Conduct peer reviews and coaching to help team members achieve project goals.
Requirements Management:
- Oversee business requirements gathering and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Lead documentation of business processes, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure consistent use of requirements management tools and methodologies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and development teams.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, and leadership to mitigate risks and prioritize backlogs.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand business needs and provide project updates.
Reporting & Collaboration:
- Monitor project progress, ensuring business analyst deliverables meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular reviews of outputs (user stories, process flows, and requirements traceability).
- Lead testing and validation efforts to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Work with IT, vendors, and external consultants to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
- 7+ years as a Business Analyst, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and managing product/sprint backlogs.
- Experience with enterprise-level systems and multi-module applications.
- Proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, or other requirements management platforms.
- Strong process modeling, root cause analysis, and process improvement skills.
- CBAP, CSPO, PMP, or other relevant certifications preferred.
