Job Summary

Responsible for leading operational and strategic analytics projects, with cross-functional collaboration. In this role, the analyst directs cross domain and enterprise-wide programs, supports domain strategic initiatives, establishes methodological standards and oversees portfolio management. Typically reports to a Director, Reporting & Analytics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Β Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or related field required; Master’s or advanced clinical degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:Β  ​Advanced analytics/healthcare certifications preferred; Domain specific certification or accreditation preferred:

  • Professional certificationsΒ  FACHE, CHFP, CAHIMS, CPHIMS

  • Data Science/Analytics certifications (vary)

  • Epic Certifications (Caboodle, Cogito, Slicer Dicer, Revenue or Access Data Model)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Five (5) years of domain expertise (operations, finance, healthcare)

  • Five (5) years of with demonstrated healthcare analytics success

  • Working knowledge of reporting platforms and data visualization tools

  • Strategic dashboard design

  • Proficient experience with healthcare databases and business applications

  • Enterprise reporting architecture

  • System integration expertise

  • Advanced database query and visualization tool skill preferred

  • Proficient cross-domain workflow and process knowledge

  • Proficient-level understanding of domain metrics, industry benchmarks and regulatory requirements

  • Advanced statistical methodologies

  • Strategic data interpretation

  • Pattern recognition and advanced ability to present actionable insights

  • Basic understanding of data management and mining

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent time management skills

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversees business analysis across enterprise health system programs

  • Defines and upholds business analysis methodologies and documentation standards

  • Facilitates stakeholder alignment across multiple domain teams

  • Partners with product owners, and domain leaders to align business needs with data and technology capabilities

  • Provides oversight and leadership to BA team(s); review deliverables and ensure consistency

  • Leads discovery with enterprise analytics, digital health, or patient engagement strategies

  • Represents and presents analytics products and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, and external forums

  • Actively participates in the analytics community and facilitates cross-domain collaboration

  • Serves as strategic advisor to domain executive leadership on analytical matters

  • Prioritizes enterprise initiatives based on strategic impact and feasibility

  • Develops domain analytical capabilities through training and mentoring

  • Partners with System analytics and Data Science leaders on enterprise data strategy

  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as a resource to less experienced staff.
