Responsible for collecting, managing, and maintaining Literacy Education Information System (LEIS) and College and Career Readiness (CCR) student data to meet local, state and federal standards including Β the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Title II, and North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) standards and deadlines. Compile and submit local and state CCR data reports. Teach CCR classes as needed.Β
* Develop system of collecting LEIS data from CCR faculty in a timely manner to be able to review, analyze, and troubleshoot student data prior to data entry. Enter LEIS data monthly according to NC Community College System and National Reporting System guidelines. Utilize approved College data entry systems and student portals for all information.
*Advocate and/or coach students to meet their educational goals.Β
* Develop and conduct LEIS pre-service training and bi-annual in-service training with CCR employees. Provide follow-up to ensure understanding and compliance.
* Develop local monitoring strategies to assess data for continuous program Β improvement, and to meet program and College performance standards and NCCCS Annual Performance Measures.
* Provide CCR staff with monthly (or quarterly??) LEIS reports that show students' Educational Functioning Level (EFL) and Measurable Skill Gains (MSG). Provide technical assistance to CCR instructors through class visits, inspection of students' files, and monitoring students' hours of instruction.
* Confirm accuracy of all required data reports Β prior to submission and submit by required deadlines.Β
* Keep abreast of National Reporting Standards for Adult Education (NRS), state LEIS Β guidelines and data management system. Communicate new LEIS/NRS information to CCR employees.
*Assist the CCR Director with audit preparation, including compiling evidence and maintaining organized documentation related to LEIS data and progarm performance metrics.
* Communicate effectively and work with NCCCS CCR staff regarding Colleague and Data Warehouse issues related to LEIS.
* Coordinate and conduct CCR student orientation sessions.
* Coordinate individual or group student retention activities and college and career exploration activities to assist students with achieving their goals. Document these meetings and outcomes.
* Acquire and maintain knowledge and certification to administer NRS approved standardized tests in NCCCS adult eduation programs. Keep abreast of NCCCS assessment policies.Β
*Coordinate and/or administer required testing for CCR students, including students in the NC Prison System.
*Secure standardized testing materials and student information per required standards.Β
*Authorize exceptions for students who meet minimum standards in order to qualify for post-testing.Β
*Translate standardized test scores into program placement and NRS Educational Functioning Levels.
* Verify driving status of minors who enroll in the CCR program and communicate status to appropriate faculty and staff. Conduct driving status review within NC's DMV database. Track progress of minors and advise CCR Director of any DMV action needed.
*Obtain and maintain security clearance for NC Department of Public Safety
* Keep accurate attendance and progress records on students enrolled in CCR orientation, and any other CCR class assigned to teach. Submit class reports and records as required and by deadline.
* Attend PCC and CCR employee meetings as required. Serve on committees as designated or assigned.
* Teach a minimum of six CCR class hours per week?
* Work collaboratively and collegially with CCR staff, students, and partners to deliver exceptional customer service.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in education or related field.
Specialized Training: Data management and analysis; MS Office Suite; develop and implement a continuous improvement data process; standardized test administration and interpretation; knowledge of Adult Education, WOIA, and Title II requirements; testing proctor certification.
Skills: Two years experience in adult education assessment, student data management and analysis, and teaching adult learners. Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills.
Other: Must be able to obtain and maintain NC Dept. Public Safety (prisons) security clearance; possess valid driving status; able to work flexible schedules including day and evening, Mon-Fri, and some Saturdays; able to read, interpret and apply regulations; excellent organizational skills, problem solving, and planning skills; ability to negotiate and gain cooperation; able to work with diverse population of students and employees; ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy; able to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues and administrators.
Shared office space and the College's testing center. Must schedule services including testing to meet students' needs for orientation and testing; must be able to lift and cart boxes of ABS test/instructional materials; must be able to work flexible schedules; able to travel within the service area to provide LEIS technical assistance; some overnight travel and some weekend hours.
