Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Master Data Specialist is responsible for overseeing ensuring all item data is maintained accurately and efficiently among all systems, understanding the impacts of the Master Data and providing guidance to other departments regarding Master Data and best practices.  You will be responsible for configuring and maintaining all item SKUs and master data within the manufacturing ERP platform. Collaborating with teammates, you will ensure items are structured accurately and that material and costing information can be generated effectively. Your attention to detail and expertise in ERP systems will contribute to the seamless operation of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain the master data in the manufacturing ERP system.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including finance, program managers, engineering and supply chain teams to define item attributes, such as part numbers, descriptions, units of measure and categorization
  • Maintenance of vendor information for purchased SKUs.
  • Ownership of Configurators in ERP System.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of item data by conducting regular audits and validations.
  • Maintain pricing lists in ERP System.
  • Lead or support data improvement projects.
  • Assist in developing systems for maintaining and actioning requests around Master Data.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure the correct setup of Master Data for the successful launch of new programs or projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define and maintain accurate BOMs within the ERP system.
  • Structure BOMs to include the necessary components, sub-assemblies, and associated routing information.
  • Update BOMs as needed due to engineering changes, new product introductions, or process improvements.
  • Provide awareness and training to other departments on Master Data structures.
  • Create documentation surrounding Master Data processes as needed.
  • Support special projects as needed.
  • Work with IT teams and ERP system administrators to identify, test and implement system enhancements, automation, and process improvements related to item configuration.
  • Assist in migrating or transferring data to new systems as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Engineering, Finance, Business Information Systems, Supply Chain, Data Management, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to five (2–5) years of experience in Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Inventory roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in ERP item configuration within manufacturing, food processing, or similarly complex industries involving multiple inputs and operational scheduling.
  • Familiarity with master data management, bill of materials (BOM) structuring, and costing methodologies.
  • Foundational understanding of data analytics and business intelligence (BI) tools, with an ability to interpret how data is utilized beyond ERP platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance practices, including data privacy regulations and responsible data management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
