Your Impact
We’re Looking for a talented Material Master Data Specialist (MMD) to join our Purchasing team.

As the Material Master Data Specialist, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and integrity of material master data within our ERP system (NetSuite) and related databases. This role ensures accurate, consistent, and complete material data is available to support all business processes, including procurement, production, inventory management, and finance. The specialist will collaborate with various departments to understand data needs and enforce data governance standards. The ideal candidate should be proficient in data management, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.

In this role, you will:
  • Data Creation and Maintenance: Create new and maintain existing material master records based on established guidelines and data definitions.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Implement, monitor, improve, and enforce data quality and governance policies, standards, and procedures related to material master data.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely and communicate with stakeholders to gather, validate, and ensure data accuracy and resolve data-related inquiries.
  • Purchasing Support: Support the purchasing team by placing orders, managing vendor communications, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

What You’ll Do In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Mass or manually create new items as requested from Sales, Product Management, and Engineering.
  • Mass or manually update pricing and other material master data fields as requested by Purchasing, Sales, Product Management, and Finance.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Production, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to gather and validate data requirements.
  • Monitor and audit material master data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance within internal data governance policies, data quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance team to resolve data quality issues or material master discrepancies.
  • Create, process, and maintain purchase orders in a timely manner; follow up to expedite deliveries and communicate updates to stakeholders.

What You'll Bring To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, IT, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems and data management tools (NetSuite a plus).
  • 2-3 years of experience in material master data management or a related field.
  • 1-2 year of experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and operations principles a plus.
