Job Description:
SCOPE:This position is required for routine regional registry operations and supported by contract funding from the Louisiana Tumor Registry (LTR). Β This person is an ODS-C and experienced with cancer registry and is expected to participate in advanced registry activities. The Oncology Data Specialist is expected to meet productivity and quality requirements in a remote environment. Will independently perform abstracting for all cancer types. Β
FUNCTIONS:
1. Β Β Abstracting, Coding, and Staging - 90%
3. Β Education/Quality Control - 5%
4. Β Productivity - 5%
QUALIFICATIONS:
Active ODS-C (Oncology Data Specialist-C) Certification through the NCRA preferred
3 or more years of experience as an Oncology Data SpecialistΒ required
Associate's degree in an allied health fieldΒ or post-secondary coursework in human anatomy & physiology required
Bachelor's degree preferred
