A Day in the Life

In this business-critical and high-visibility role, you will support financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for Medtronicโ€™s Transition Portfolio, with direct exposure to senior leadership. You will partner closely with Portfolio Management leadership, MiniMed Day 2 leadership, and Corporate FP&A to deliver insights that inform strategic and operational decision-making.

This role sits within the Transition Portfolio Finance team and will play a key role across portfolio-level FP&A, Mozarc/Renal Care forecasting and analysis, Diabetes Day 2 LATAM cost center support, and ad hoc portfolio management initiatives. The position reports to the Director of Finance, Portfolio Management and regularly presents to senior leadership.

This role will require 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis for the Transition Portfolio, including ownership and consolidation of AOP, rolling forecasts, and month-end close activities.

  • Provide portfolio-level insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and transition-related initiatives.

  • Support Mozarc / Renal Care forecasting and financial analysis, partnering with business finance teams to understand drivers, risks, and opportunities.

  • Own Diabetes Day 2 LATAM OPEX cost center planning, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring accurate financial management and clear communication of variances and outlook.

  • Prepare and deliver leadership-ready financial insights and presentations for executive reviews, MBRs, and other senior leadership forums.

  • Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis related to portfolio performance, cost management, and transition initiatives.

  • Partner closely with Portfolio Management leadership, MiniMed Day 2 leadership, and Corporate FP&A to ensure alignment across financial processes and reporting.

  • Leverage financial systems, including OneStream, to drive data integrity, efficiency, and actionable insights.

  • Support ad hoc Portfolio Management projects (e.g., transition activities, strategic initiatives, special analyses) as needed.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree

  • 7+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting (or 5+ years with an advanced degree)

Nice to Have

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or Masterโ€™s degree

  • Experience in healthcare or medical device organizations

  • Strong experience with OneStream financial systems

  • Demonstrated business partnering skills in a matrixed organization

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • High degree of initiative, ownership, and accountability

  • Proven ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity and change

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. ยง 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$108,000.00 - $162,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
