The Principal Financial Analyst serves as a strategic finance partner and subject matter expert, driving financial accountability and decision-making across the organization. This role leads complex financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis efforts, and provides actionable insights to senior leadership. The analyst plays a key role in investment evaluations, acquisition activity, and long-term planning, while mentoring others and influencing enterprise-level financial strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Drive financial accountability across business units by equipping managers with tools, education, and processes to understand the financial impact of their decisions. 
  • Lead financial decision-making support for operational teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Prepare and analyze the most complex financial and operational reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. 
  • Conduct expert-level financial modeling and forecasting to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and business performance.
  • Develop and maintain advanced costing models and present financial results and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Analyze operating results and financial positions, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Perform economic research and studies in areas such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, and regulatory impact.
  • Audit and validate financial data and statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Lead cross-functional financial initiatives and enterprise-wide projects. 
  • Mentor and guide other analysts, fostering independent problem-solving and professional growth. 
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, including the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
  • Comply with Risk Management program requirements, including identification of risks, key controls, and control testing. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or planning roles. 
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel (financial modeling) and PowerPoint. 
  • Database Management and Power BI experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • Deep understanding of finance principles, methodologies, and business operations.
  • Experience with financial planning systems and data visualization tools 
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives independently and collaborate across functions. Licenses and Certifications
