Product Data Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

A Product Data Specialist develops, maintains, and updates accurate, structured product documentation in ERP systems. They collaborate with engineering and production to manage revisions, verify part numbers, and optimize manufacturing efficiency. Key skills include attention to detail, CAD/data proficiency, and technical knowledge. The successful candidate will accurately translate technical information from contracts, blueprints, models and specifications into clearly defined engineering and manufacturing systems. The Product Data Specialist is also responsible for monitoring and interfacing with on-line customer portals for both uploading and downloading digital data.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage structured Bills of Materials for new products, assemblies, and sub-assemblies to accurately reflect product configurations and ensure alignment between engineering and production teams.
• Ensure all resources, components, quantities, and descriptions are accurate and aligned with engineering specifications and requirements in ERP systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to develop inventory in ERP, resolve discrepancies and ensure material availability.
• Develop comprehensive, organized documentation of product structures. Validate configuration alignment with customer requirements to Royal produced documentation.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company standards and ensure all configuration data aligns precisely with contract requirements and technical documentation.
• Oversee day-to-day customer portal activity, acting as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for uploading Royal content and retrieving customer data in accordance with established procedures.
