Essential Functions

Lead Financial Analyst:
- Responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models and leading Rates and Pricing initiatives, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Leading the development and refinement of advanced financial models, including comprehensive cost of service studies
- Designing, modifying and implementing electric rate schedules to support equitable, sustainable and strategically aligned pricing structures
- Coordinate with Customer Billing and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely implementation of approved rate changes
- Researching, interpreting, and applying regulatory policies that impact electric rate structures and pricing strategies
- Analyzing complex electric utility tariffs and contractual agreements to ensure compliance and inform rate recommendations
- Leading cross functional research, financial analysis, and modeling projects to support data driven rate recommendations
- Preparing and delivering presentations to the Commission and other key stakeholders to communicate analysis, recommendations, and initiative progress
- Serves as a project manager for major Rates and Pricing initiatives, ensuring projects are executed accurately, efficiently, and withing established timelines. Develops project plans, organizes and prioritizes tasks, coordinates cross functional resources, monitors progress, and drives initiatives through to successful completion while meeting critical deadlines.
- Works directly with the Commission to provide initiative updates and explain Rates and Pricing methodologies.
Senior Financial Analyst:
- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing complex financial models and developing simplified analytical tools to support Rates and Pricing initiatives; responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Updating and refining financial models and cost of service studies to ensure accurate rate analysis and financial forecasting
- Analyzing, modifying and developing rate schedules to support equitable and sustainable pricing strategies
- Coordinating with Customer Billing to ensure accurate and timely implementation of approved rate schedules
- Researching, interpreting and applying regulatory policies that impact rate structures and pricing decisions
- Reviewing and analyzing complex electric utility tariffs and contractual agreements to inform rate design and compliance
- Participating in cross-functional research, data analysis, and financial modeling projects to support rate accommodations
- Preparing and delivering presentations to the Commission and other key stakeholders to communicate analysis, findings, and recommendations
- Participates in Rates and Pricing Initiatives to support accurate, efficient, and timely project completion. May lead projects, build project components, or coordinate project tasks and tracking progress.
- Participates in Commission workshops and meetings to communicate goals, intentions, and educate on Rates and Pricing tools and methodologies.
Financial Analyst:
- Supports the update, maintenance, and enhancement of financial models used in Rates and Pricing initiatives including but not limited to the following:
- Assisting with updates to financial models and cost-of-service studies under guidance from senior staff.
- Supporting coordination efforts with Customer Billing to implement and validate new rate schedules.
- Reviewing and analyzing electric utility tariffs, rate schedules, and contracts with direction and oversight.
- Participating in cross-functional research, analysis, and modeling projects.
- Assisting in the preparation of materials and presentations for the Commission and other key stakeholders.
- Participates in Rates and Pricing Initiatives to support accurate, efficient, and timely project completion. May lead small scale assignments, build project components, or coordinate project tasks and tracking progress.
- Participates in Commission workshops and meetings to communicate goals, intentions, and educate on Rates and Pricing tools and methodologies.

Required Qualifications: (Education and Experience, License, and/or Certification)
Lead Financial Analyst:
- Bachelorβs degree in finance, accounting, or related field or two years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Eight years of progressively responsible experience in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience analyzing and visualizing data in Excel, including advanced functions, modeling, and reporting.
- Experience leading projects or cross-functional teams.
- Experience using R, Python, or similar tools to manipulate, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
Senior Financial Analyst:
- Bachelorβs degree in finance, accounting, or related field or two years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience analyzing and visualizing data in Excel, including advanced functions, modeling, and reporting.
- Experience leading projects or cross-functional teams.
- Experience using R, Python, or similar tools to manipulate, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
Financial Analyst:
- Bachelorβs degree in finance, accounting, or related field or two years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Two years of progressively responsible experience in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience analyzing and visualizing data in Excel.
Preferred Qualifications: (Education and Experience, License, and/or Certification)
- Advanced knowledge in financial analytics
- Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principle
- Knowledge of applicable Washington statutes, policies, rules, regulations, and codes
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations, policies, and laws affecting the utility industry
- Candidates with equivalent experience in roles demonstrating strategic leadership, analytical expertise and collaboration are encouraged to apply.

- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, will ability to identify issues and support data informed recommendations.
