POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for data analysis of behavioral health service data, including claims, authorizations, pharmaceutical prescriptions, and other business-related operations. Conduct research on clinical quality outcomes, and performance outcomes data, and respond to data indicating opportunities for change. Serve as a liaison between the business, data management, and clinical teams and the executive management team.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Utilize advanced statistical, analytical, query, and business tools to support business and research activities. 2. Provide data reports to internal and external customers. 3. Work on key projects and initiatives to support the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Education: Bachelor's Degree in data analytics, information technology or computer science or related field. Work Experience in Lieu of Degree: 4 years in a data analysis role.
· 4 years in a data analysis role.
· 4 Years of SQL programming/scripting
· Experience working with large, complex datasets
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Strong technical and analytical skills including data analysis, interpretation, and reporting using large-scale medical or administrative data sets.
· Critical thinking, and decision-making.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Access, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Experience in MS SQL server, including developing and maintaining stored procedures, table definitions, and queries.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Work Experience: Healthcare Payer or Provider experience • Proficiency with SPSS, SAS or R.
