Whatโ€™s the role?

Reporting to the AVP, Enterprise Applications, the Senior Business Analyst, Digital Banking assists with implementing new digital banking platforms and building channel strategies while ensuring alignment to Coastal Communityโ€™s corporate strategy. This role supports a high-quality Member experience for Coastal Communityโ€™s digital banking channels by leading digital banking implementation work effort, executing product strategies, and overseeing projects that drive growth across all digital segments. The Senior Business Analyst, Digital Banking works closely with internal strategic partners including IT Solutions, Marketing, Personal Banking, Business Banking, Wealth Management, Operations and Compliance teams in the successful roll-out of new digital products and services from the member and channel perspective.

Your duties will include:ย 

  • Leads and conducts in-depth competitive analysis to determine gaps within current digital offerings and informs strategic recommendations.
  • Identifies and champions opportunities for advancement through automation and the enhancement of digital channels, guiding team members in evaluating and prioritizing improvements.
  • Collaborates closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers to ensure efficient delivery of quality outcomes.
  • Leads and collaborates with internal cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement Coastal Communityโ€™s digital roadmap ensuring alignment and accountability across workstreams.
  • Delivers comprehensive data analytics on trends, opportunities, and benchmarking, providing high value insights that support decision making.
  • Supports and contributes advanced expertise to project management activities across digital projects - including online, mobile, onboarding, lending, and digital product delivery channels-ensuring coordinated execution.
  • Reviews and provides expert direction on project scope to pinpoint gaps and potential issues.
  • Facilitates meaningful stakeholder engagement to ensure clear communication, alignment, and shared understanding across impacted groups.
  • Organizes and leads, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and user requirements meetings, applying deep knowledge of digital banking processes ensuring quality standards and team readiness.
  • Manages vendor interactions to confirm products and services meet established specifications and supports optimal digital channel performance.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders including IT Solutions, Marketing, Personal Banking, Business Banking, Wealth Management, Operations and Compliance and providing clarification and expertise during new capability launches and enhancements.
  • Applies advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills to assist in the timely resolution of digital banking issues.
  • Initiates business incidents for concerns related to managed digital channels, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-through.
  • Escalates high-priority issues as necessary using sound judgement and expert level understanding of digital channel impacts.

What are we looking for?

  • Completion of a college diploma or university degree in a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered.
  • Business Analysis training/certification
  • Certified Business Analysis professional (CBAP)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Business Analysis
  • 3โ€“5 years leading project teams or workstreams
  • Experience with web services, online tech, and User Interface (UI) design
  • Background in digital platform implementation and product lifecycle
  • Managed digital experiences across retail, small business and commercial channels
  • Financial services or credit union experience is an asset

Career Band Range (Annual Salary) - $81,156.00 to $117,970.00

The posted salary range is designed to reflect a broad career band, encompassing a variety of roles within our organization and serves as a general guideline. Your final compensation will be tailored to your unique skills, experience, and the responsibilities of the role.
