Overview

Our client is a leading energy company in the power generation sector, seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their team for a 12-month contract engagement. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that drive strategic decision-making in the energy industry. The ideal candidate will have 11-15 years of experience in business analysis, with a strong background in data analytics, financial modeling, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large-scale special projects that support informed business decision-making
• Conduct comprehensive operational and financial analyses to drive business strategies
• Design and modify business processes to improve efficiency and automation
• Develop and maintain complex reports and dashboards for senior leadership
• Apply advanced analytics techniques including demand modeling, locational analysis, and growth modeling
• Transform qualitative information into defined quantitative datapoints using various databases
• Manage data integrity and governance strategies ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Drive projects forward to build enhanced customer data environments with improved tools and capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
• Utilize market intelligence and competitive analysis to support business insights

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, or related field
• Experience: 11-15 years of relevant experience in business process optimization, data governance, and financial modeling
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced analytics tools, database management, and business intelligence platforms
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of power generation or energy sector preferred
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data to stakeholders
• Project Management: Proven ability to lead large-scale projects and drive results
