The NAST Compliance Data Analytics and Science team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated data analyst to support business initiatives by identifying and analyzing data, driving process improvements, and eliminating defects. The person in this role will use their understanding of different business models and the underlying analytics to assimilate new methodologies and data sources.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with compliance leaders to create key performance indicators and new methodologies for measurement.
- Understand data sources and pull necessary data to drive the decision-making process.
- Translate data into actionable insights for the stakeholders.
- Automate reporting for weekly business metrics; identify areas of opportunity to automate and scale ad-hoc analyses.
- Automate existing manual workstreams through dashboard development, ensuring data feeds the right systems to drive business decisions.
About the team
North American Surface Transportation Compliance is a dynamic, complex team with a focus on maintaining compliance of Amazon's 3P Relay network through disruption management, insurance & regulatory compliance, BASIC & Safety compliance, and adherence to Relay Program Policy.
- Bachelor's degree in business or analytical discipline
- Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tool(s) to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports
- 2+ years of experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analyst role, conducting analysis, data mining using database, extracting & processing data using SQL, and dashboard development, including Quicksight
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, and data presentation) and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analysis role.
- Experience conducting advanced statistical analysis (skilled in using one or more of R/SPSS/SAS/Python and etc.).
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment.
- Software development experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
