Marketing Analyst

Business Summary:

The Senior Digital Marketing Analyst is responsible for developing, launching, managing, and optimizing online programs, including search engine marketing (SEM)/pay-per-click (PPC), display, remarketing, video advertising, and other digital paid advertising campaigns using in-house and agency services. The analyst provides custom analysis and insight to ensure the continued success of marketing programs, evaluates new opportunities to maximize the growth of the online channel, and consults with clubs, partners, and executive management to develop new digital marketing strategies and tactics.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, launch, and manage digital campaigns with in-house or agency services, including account structure, keyword research, bid strategies and management, ad copy writing, and other core PPC/ Display functions.
  • Responsible for attaining marketing objectives (i.e., click-through rates (CTR), conversion, cost per acquisition (CPA), and return on investment and revenue targets).
  • Partner with the agency to analyze key performance indicators daily, weekly, and monthly, and deliver client insights.
  • Strives to improve the ROI for the client’s budget continuously.
  • Performs various assessments and analyses of digital marketing campaigns to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
  • Utilizes search engine tools, including Google AdWords, Marin Software, Yahoo AdCenter, to validate campaign optimization and settings appropriately and within AAA’s business requirements.
  • Manages campaign troubleshooting issues through resolution and identifies areas for potential competitive advancement.
  • Verifies the quality and appropriateness of ad placement on search engine sites and ad networks.
  • Monitors competitor actions in the marketplace that could negatively impact AAA campaign efficiency.
  • Assists in preparing budgets, audits, and forecasts for Digital Marketing budget, allocation, profit, and loss.
  • Provide clients with digital marketing expertise, evaluations, and recommendations, including AAA/CAA Clubs, Partners, Business Lines, and Associations teams.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of the trends and changes in the Digital Marketing arena.
  • Share trends and changes in the Digital Marketing industry to ensure clients receive the latest strategies and tactics.
  • Prepares recommendations and insights related to strategic digital marketing campaign development and performance.Β 
  • Assists in preparing competitive assessments and analyses for the CSC, MSB, and related subgroups.Β 
  • Collects and shares best practices through white papers, webinars, and client meetings.
  • Serves as liaison with digital marketing agency of record for data quality and reconciliation.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains data sources and databases to support Digital Marketing reporting and analytical needs.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to expand the scope of client engagements and differentiate the Digital Marketing from competitors.
  • Identify and recommend new trends and opportunities to drive sales and improve client solutions.
  • Recognize potential techniques/tactics for expanding the current product offering into new areas or business lines.
  • Participate in team meetings to identify integration points and best practices to improve internal operations.

Requirements, Competencies, and Certifications:

  • Use time effectively; anticipate obstacles, adjust priorities as needs change, and keep others informed of progress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, and Excel (including cross-cell, file referencing, pivot tables, visual graphs, and trending data).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields and at least five (5) years’ experience hands-on managing paid digital marketing campaigns.
  • Google AdWords Certification required.Β 
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of other SEM marketing tools, including Yahoo Search Marketing and Bing/MSN Ad Center, Google Analytics, and bid-optimization software.
  • Experience in web analytics, landing page optimization, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Hiring Range:Β $ 78,040 - $98,330

In addition to the base salary, this position qualifies for participation in the company's Annual Incentive Plan.Β
