HJ Staffing is actively seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Financial Analyst to support our client’s enterprise financial planning, forecasting, and reporting functions. This critical role acts as a strategic liaison between Finance and IT, ensuring the effective use of financial systems and data to drive business decision-making and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance complex financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
Lead budgeting, variance analysis, and monthly/quarterly reporting efforts
Serve as the subject matter expert for financial systems (Oracle PeopleSoft, Quickbase, Power BI, etc.)
Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to optimize financial systems and tools
Ensure integrity, consistency, and compliance of financial data across systems
Conduct capital project analysis, resource planning, and dashboard development
Drive financial transformation through automation and improved workflows
Train finance staff on reporting tools and system best practices
Generate ad hoc reports and data visualizations for executive stakeholders
Translate business requirements into technical system configurations
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, MIS, or related field
5+ years in FP&A, financial systems analysis, or similar analytical role
Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle PeopleSoft) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Advanced Excel proficiency and data manipulation capabilities
Knowledge of GASB standards, budgeting principles, and CAPEX vs. OPEX classification
Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or MIS
Experience in public sector or government-funded projects
Familiarity with project portfolio management tools (PPM)
Hands-on experience with financial system upgrades or implementations
Understanding of data governance and integration best practices
