Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead for all operational, financial, and compliance activities for Texas Medicaid supplemental programs (CHIRP, DSH, UC), including required reporting, data validation, cost reporting, budgeting, audit readiness, and collaboration with state agencies and internal leadership

• Financial planning and analysis related to profitability, proformas and special projects using cost accounting system and EMR

• Assist with valuation from gross to net patient revenue

• Assist with projection/budget related to patient volume and patient revenue

• Support the Finance and Hospital Accounting team as determined by the Manager of Finance

Required Skills/Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field preferred.

• 3-5 years' experience in healthcare preferred.

• Willingness to learn various systems & technical skills

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint)

• Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently and oversee projects

• CPA or eligible preferred.

• Experience with the following systems/applications desire: Workday, Strata, and Epic.

• Practical experience related to Texas Medicaid supplemental programs, cost accounting, public accounting, net-revenue desired
