Financial Analyst

The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for a Senior Global Financial Analyst come grow with us! 

Reporting to the Director, International Finance the Senior Global Financial Analyst manages accounting functions and preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results across the organization in accordance with GAAP plus local GAAP. Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance. Establishes and maintains accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations. The successful candidate needs to be a self-starter and able to solve problems and be able to work independently as well as with multiple teams and cultures.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

Financial reporting

  • Accounting and compliance – IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Prepare month end results for one of our international locations – entities and PPA.
  • Prepare INHP PPA.
  • Prepare, review and analyze ad hoc information requirements as requested.
  • Assist with international month end preparation.
  • Review and assist MXHL with both mxn and usd reporting.
  • Assist with international entity financial statement preparation and comparison to plan.
  • Update Dynac.
  • International account reconciliation overview.

Audit and Compliance

  • ​​Prepare annual audit lead sheets and working papers as requested for international entities.
  • ​Prepare year-end schedules for international entities.
  • ​Assist in preparing Internal Audit requests for international entities.

Budget and Forecast  

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets for international entities.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly forecasts for international entities.

Support

  • ​​Develop understanding of the Business Intelligence Cube and utilize information to support other functions or information requests.
  • ​Prepare weekly cash balances reports and monitor and maintain daily US cash balances and money market fund.
  • ​Assist with preparation of intercompany documentation and support.
  • ​Assist with tax provision preparation through reconciling intercompany transactions.
  • ​Assist where needed​.

Projects 

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities through Transform initiatives.
  • Plan and implement other department specific projects as required.
  • Financial reporting development as required.
  • Assist with legal administration on projects.
  • Assist Director with strategic projects.  

 

Do you qualify? We are seeking:

Prior Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA designation is required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience with international accounting and reporting (including exposure to local GAAP and IFRS).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and local country-specific GAAP.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Prophix, Dynac).
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., BI Cubes, Power BI) is helpful.
  • Experience with financial reporting systems and intercompany accounting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (especially for coordinating internationally).

  • Ability to work independently and support cross-functional teams.
  • Able to travel to our location in Mexico approximately one to two times per year depending on needs.
