The Tableau Dashboard Design Intern will support the Aviation Technology Division in the development and optimization of interactive dashboards and data visualizations. This role is designed for an individual with an interest in data analytics, visualization, and business intelligence who seeks to gain practical, hands-on experience in a professional environment.
What will you be doing?
This position will be a key member of the Aviation team. Duties include:
- Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable dashboard designs.
- Perform data preparation and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of visualizations.
- Optimize dashboards for usability, performance, and responsiveness.
- Conduct quality assurance testing and document design processes, data sources, and methodologies.
- Research and apply best practices in dashboard design, data storytelling, and visualization standards.
What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?
This position will require the following skillsets and experience:
- Foundational knowledge of Tableau or other business intelligence/data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with SQL, Excel, or other data preparation tools preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail with a demonstrated interest in design and usability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
