Description

We’re modernizing our Payments Portal so product and subscription stakeholders can see every transaction—from first swipe to recurring renewal—in one intuitive view. You will be the in‑house Tableau authority who designs, builds, and curates the dashboards that power those insights. If you thrive on turning raw payment data into clear, secure, and actionable stories, we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard Design & Build

• Craft interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, and drill‑down visualizations that track product sales, subscription churn, and payment‑funnel KPIs.

• Apply best‑practice UX patterns: logical flow, responsive layouts, and tooltips that teach.

Security & Governance

• Implement Row‑Level Security and role‑based access so each user sees only the data that’s relevant—and permissible—to them.

• Own publishing, scheduling, and permission Tableau Server / Cloud; monitor and fine‑tune performance.

Performance Optimisation

Tune extracts, filters, LOD expressions, and server caching to keep time‑to‑interactive under two seconds—even at multi‑million‑row scale.

Data Integration & Modelling

Blend data from SQL Server, Oracle, cloud warehouses, flat files, and API feeds into a clean, reusable semantic layer.

• Establish join logic and fact–dimension models that support transaction‑level precision without sacrificing speed.

Standards & Enablement

• Develop a library of reusable templates, calculated‑field snippets, and style guides that ensure every new dashboard feels familiar.

• Document workflows and data models; coach analysts and power users on self‑service best practices.

Support & Continuous Improvement

Troubleshoot production issues, drive root‑cause analysis, and release enhancements in an Agile cadence.

• Validate data accuracy through systematic QA and partner sign‑off.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years hands‑on Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud experience.
  • Proven record building enterprise‑grade dashboards with Row‑Level Security, parameters, LOD expressions, and advanced visual types.
  • Expert‑level SQL for complex aggregations, window functions, and performance tuning.
  • Strong grasp of data‑modelling fundamentals: star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, incremental loading.
  • Familiarity with Tableau Server administration (user/group management, content promotion, usage monitoring).
  • Excellent storytelling and stakeholder‑management skills—able to translate ambiguous business needs into crisp visual solutions.

Preferred / Bonus Points

  • Current Tableau certification (Desktop Certified Associate or higher, Server Associate).
